We’re on the lookout for a Paid Search Lead to join our clients growing in house marketing team.
The Role
Supported by the wider Digital, Commercial, and Revenue teams, you will play a key role in developing and optimising our PPC execution, with a strong focus on paid search (SERP) performance across both UK and US markets.
This role blends strong commercial judgement with analytical precision. You’ll create and refine paid search campaigns that align with our brand and product strategy, while producing accurate, insight-led analysis that ensures our investment is measured, accountable and continually optimised for customer experience and return.
This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced paid search specialist who enjoys being close to execution, rather than managing strategy, agencies, or teams.
What you’ll be doing in the role…
Ownership of overarching paid search spend and performance for your market segments to include:
• Setting up, monitoring and optimising paid search campaigns using data-driven insight
• Budget allocation and performance target recommendations for paid search across assigned market segments
• Keyword research and reviewing ad-copy performance using a data driven approach
• Working to a high level of precision for each campaign ensuring all productive assets are updated and utilised (sitelinks, pricing extensions etc).
• Drive continuous improvement through identifying opportunities and owning a testing roadmap in conjunction with key stakeholders
• Execution of testing roadmap, clearly documenting outcomes to support evidence-based decisions
• Evaluate automation features (e.g. bidding strategies, match types) to determine where/whether they deliver value
• Track platform updates, competitor activity and market signals that may influence performance
Ownership of performance reporting for your market segments to include:
• Ensuring spend accuracy, tracking integrity, and data consistency across all campaigns
• Producing regular, accurate performance reporting across UK and US websites
• Analysing trends, anomalies and opportunities to improve efficiency and return on investment
• Using tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, PowerBI and Excel to validate data before sharing insight
• Supporting landing page performance analysis and highlighting conversion-impacting issues
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure performance data is aligned, understood and actionable

Essential
• Strong hands-on experience managing paid search activity in Google Ads, with accountability for performance
• Understanding of how PPC fits within a broader customer acquisition strategy
• Ability to work accurately with data in Excel
• A logical and evidence-based approach to problem solving
• Ability to work across multiple markets, maintaining consistent standards of accuracy
• Able to translate data into clear, actionable points
Desirable
• Experience working within the travel sector
• Hands-on experience working with large or complex keyword sets, multiple campaign types, or multi-market accounts
• Confidence using PowerBI, Google Analytics, Looker Studio or similar tools to validate and interpret data
