Modo25 is a company with charity at its heart. One of our core values is to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
Recently, we set up a charity committee to help us plan and take part in more fund-raising events. This month, we’ve chosen to take part in Movember!
Movember is a cause close to everyone and we hope to not only raise money but awareness too.
Some Movember facts worth knowing
- Globally, on average, a man dies by suicide every minute, of every day. Whilst raising money isn’t necessarily going to stop this, raising awareness and making men realise it’s okay to talk, and to provide them with support where they need it, can.
- 1 in 8 UK men has or will be diagnosed with, prostate cancer in their lifetime. The work Movember has done through its fundraising has already managed to push progress forward by 50 years and there’s no reason it should stop.
- Testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer in 15-39-year-old men. Whilst the survival rate is extremely high, there are often long-term side effects, mentally and physically, that seriously detract from people’s quality of life.
Here at Modo25, we hope to raise money and awareness about the charity and its meaningful work.
How are we raising money for Movember?
Now, it goes without saying that not all of us can grow a moustache (sadly). So, those of us who can’t are instead walking or running 60km over the month for the 60 men lost to suicide every hour across the world. In fact, some of us are doing both – double the effort!

We’re looking forward to our latest group charity challenge. The last one we did was a virtual Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. Hopefully, we will be able to continue our charity efforts in the office very soon. For now, we’re loving raising money virtually for many deserving charities.
