Earlier this month, Modo25 proudly sponsored the Think Summits event held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Leeds.
We were eager to be involved in an event that’s at the forefront of the Northern tech scene, igniting conversation and building connections between influential contacts.
Our Chief Customer Officer, Mike, hosted a round table at the event, welcoming attendees from across the industry in B2B, retail, agency work, online training providers and infrastructure providers.
The round table produced thought-provoking discussion, with all attendees sharing the current challenges they’re facing, these included:
- Marketing eLearning services to an audience that don’t know they need them.
- Expanding presence with limited resource.
- Access to talent & not enough time in the day.
- Clients pushing for marketing efficiencies and measurable direct response over and above growing a brand.
- Adding tangible value to my brand from my marketing budget.
Mike instigated the discussion on an agency or inhouse, which sparked a debate on the advantages and disadvantages of both and what the key considerations should be when it comes to making this decision.
The conversation led onto the control and transparency of data, asking the question ‘who currently has access to all of my marketing data? Do I know how my data is being used?’
With this in mind, Mike also focused on the fact that businesses are reliant on the duopoly of Google and Facebook and how we can disrupt this dominance and utilise alternative platforms that are currently available, such as TikTok or Amazon Advertising.
After the roundtable talks, the Think Summits evening featured keynote speakers, including a talk from Brian Wood, a Military Cross recipient and best-selling author.
Brian took to the stage with an inspiring talk on emotional resilience both on and off the battlefield and how his personal experiences and the lessons he has learnt can be applied to the corporate world.
