We’re on the lookout for an ambitious, driven Account Director to join our clients team. Our client has enjoyed a sustained period of growth, by providing consultancy services across the software development lifecycle to a handful of enterprise customers. They are now ready to explore bringing more innovative technology services and new customers to support the next stage of our growth. They are seeking an experienced Account Director who can accelerate their growth through developing new opportunities within our customer base.
About the role
The Account Director will be an experienced sales professional, able to understand a customers unique business challenges and support them by signposting them to our clients range of digital transformation services. They’re looking for an Account Director who is experienced in adding value to senior stakeholders, whilst navigating heavily matrixed, cross functional teams and working towards ambitious growth targets.
Measuring success
The success of the Account Director will be measured in two primary ways:
(1) Growth of new projects within your customer base; and
(2) Customer satisfaction.
Organisation structure
The Account Director will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will be part of the sales and go to market team. The sales and go to market team comprises New Business, Marketing & Customer Growth Team. The Account Director is responsible for securing new projects and driving growth within their customers.
Key responsibilities
Develop and strengthen relationships with decision makers and influencers within your customer accounts, driving penetration into new business functions and projects by acting as a trusted digital transformation advisor to the customer.
- Execute a plan to develop key contacts and advocates, building personal connections and gaining access to new contacts. You will need to ensure a balance of customer engagement across business, IT and operations.
- Seek out opportunities to grow into new projects within your accounts, managing the sales process to convert and close the opportunity.
- Managing and owning the forecast, updating and managing the sales pipeline utilising the CRM, creating quotes and preparing tenders as required.
- Identify and qualify opportunities of growth with your customer base and lead on account strategy and planning. Drive growth through driving services in the customer’s business units and maintains a comprehensive account growth plan and strategy.
- Be responsible for creating and executing strategic plans for the account to help drive and increase revenue streams and working with the Account Managers to execute these plans.
- Build and establish a sales pipeline that enables you to meet your sales targets, regularly reporting progress to the Chief Revenue Officer.
- Lead and mentor account managers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
The Person
- Proven work experience as an Account Director or related role
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
- Experience of using a CRM i.e Hubspot
- Experience of delivering client focused solutions to meet customer needs.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation & presentation skills
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
