Salary: Upto £40k DOE
We’re looking for a talented SEO Account Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced organic search professional who is passionate about both technical and content SEO to deliver measurable results for clients.
You will work closely with clients to develop, manage, and implement SEO strategies that improve organic visibility, drive traffic, and generate ROI. Working alongside our wider SEO team, you will assist with campaigns across technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content strategy, and backlink acquisition, ensuring activity aligns with client goals and industry best practices.
You should be confident managing a range of SEO campaigns, communicating directly with clients, and collaborating with your wider team to deliver exceptional results.
As search continues to evolve, this role will also play a key part in developing and implementing strategies around AI Optimisation (AIO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). This includes helping clients improve visibility across AI-powered search experiences, generative search engines, and emerging discovery platforms beyond traditional organic rankings.
Role responsibilities
- Develop and implement tailored SEO strategies across technical SEO, content SEO, and on-page optimisation
- Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify relevant, high-performing opportunities
- Carry out comprehensive website audits to identify technical SEO issues and opportunities for improvement
- Monitor keyword rankings, organic performance, and campaign KPIs, providing data-driven recommendations
- Plan and implement backlink and outreach campaigns to support organic growth
- Collaborate closely with content and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented effectively
- Manage multiple SEO campaigns simultaneously while maintaining high standards of delivery
- Gather client feedback and work with internal teams to improve the product.
- Develop SEO strategies that align with evolving AI-powered search experiences and generative search platforms.
- Optimise client content for visibility within AI-generated search results, including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other emerging AI discovery tools.
- Provide regular reporting, insights, and updates to clients
- Contribute to client meetings, strategy sessions, and presentations with confidence and professionalism
- Support and mentor junior team members where required
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in SEO, with strong technical and content SEO knowledge
- Deep understanding of core SEO disciplines and current industry best practices
- Experience managing SEO campaigns and delivering measurable growth and ROI
- Strong knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and/or Lumar
- Confident conducting technical audits and implementing on-page SEO recommendations
- Experience with backlink strategy, digital PR, or outreach campaigns
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with experience managing client relationships successfully
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment
